Central Scale started as a family business in 1936 by its founder. Since then Central Scale has grown to be one of the most recognized scale companies in the Chicagoland Area. Central Scale was founded by the Stewart family and incorporated in 1936. Augustin “Dale” Diaz walked into Central’s shop on 48th Street in 1970 at the young age of 19. His strong work ethics and leadership skills as a Scale Technician made him an excellent candidate for General Manager in the late 1980s. Dale refined his team with quality, hardworking people, and together we developed Central Scale into the exceptional company that it is today. Dale acquired Central Scale in November 2013 and is now driving Central to new levels of excellence!
